FREE Classroom Forms for Elementary Teachers

Hi y'all. I hope you had a chance to check out my classroom. Today, I'd like to share some FREE classroom forms with you.

Ever since I started teaching, I've struggled with all the forms and information I had to send home.
Until recently, I was changing my forms each year...deleting and adding stuff...until I got it just right.

This year, I think I've figured it out and I wanted to share them with you! So let's get started with these FREE classroom forms!

Our first day with the kids is technically only 45 minutes long.  Our class list is split into two groups.  One group comes in the morning and the other in the afternoon.  During this time, the kids are taken on a tour of the school while the teacher stays in the classroom and works with parents.  We tell them a little about ourselves, our goals for the year and have them fill out necessary paper work.
Some of these forms are necessary for the front office and others are for me.  It really is the best time to collect this information from parents.

I use Weebly to run a class website.  Over the school year, I post pictures of the kids, information regarding important events, and "homework".  Before I upload any pictures of my kids, I make sure I have parent permission. Here's the form I use:

It includes a schedule, Remind 101 form, Scholastic book order form, volunteer sign up form, and website permission form. Some of these are editable so you can better use them to meet your needs. Grab them now for your preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade classroom students.

I like this one (better than others I've used in the past) because it's quick and easy.  Check the box, sign your name. DONE.  There are so many forms they have to work through, so the quicker the better.

Last year, I started using Remind 101, now Remind, to keep my parents in the loop about any upcoming events.  I loved it, even though I only had a few parents sign up.  This year, I made a quick and easy form for parents. I included information from the Remind website to help parents understand just what they are getting into.  I simply took  my classroom info and placed it at the bottom of the phone.  Here's a pic:

Although it looks large here, it's only half a sheet of paper.

Do you love Scholastic?

I do.
I love it so much I spent waaaayyy too much money and they made me a Golden Apple teacher (someone who spends over $1000...that includes parent orders but still).
I love it.
A lot.
Any who...I would always print directly from the website...and although it was quick and easy..it just wasn't doing it for me.
So I fancied it up at little.
All I did was copy the information from the Scholastic site...and paste it into the form. Easy Peasy!

I love it!

A few weeks after school starts, our team goes to visit a local apple farm.  So...I have to have parents sign up to volunteer as soon as possible.  Although I don't need tons of volunteers, I wanted to make sure parents had a chance to sign up...then I'll just pick a few from out of a hat.

And finally, my schedule! Our schedule changed so much this year...I had to make sure parents knew as much information as possible. Our lunch and specials time changes each day...it's a little loopy but I finally got it to look just right.  I took out my info but here's a pic of the form.

I really love how these turned out...I'm hoping that I'll keep them for years to come because that was TONS of work.
And now...the moment you've been waiting for...
These are all free...and...editable!
Yup.
You can make these work for your classroom now.
I even changed the "Kindergarten Schedule" to say "Our Classroom Schedule" so it'll work for any grade level.
The volunteer sheet and the website permission form are the only two that are not editable.
Since school starts soon, I won't be able to customize any of these pages.  But I'm sure you'll be able to make it work for you!!

Weekend Warrior: Classroom Reveal

My room is finally done!

I'm so excited to show you my classroom!
I've been hard at work in my room for about a month!
I know...I'm cray but I really do enjoy it!

This weekend, I'm linking up with my Weekend Warrior gals to give you some Back to School Cool.

If you follow my on Instagram, you saw some pictures of my classroom.
Here's a pic of my classroom on the day I was allowed back in.

Yup...That's everything.  In the middle of my room.
I got right to work.
My classroom has a rainbow...or primary color theme.  I try to not to get to heavy with color and just have pops all around the room.
I made a few changes in my room this year.  I really wanted to provide more relaxing and calming features in my room.
I purchased a few floor lamps and extra carpets from Ikea, which added a cozier feel.
I apologize for the picture quality, I forgot my fancy camera at home.

Check out my room!!

And here's a panoramic view of my class.

Isn't it fantastic!??! I'm really happy with how things turned out.

Head back tomorrow to see how I send home important information!! There may be a freebie or two.

Thanks for stopping by to see my Back to School cool!! Head over to these other amazing teachers and get some back to school tips.

Take a closer look!

Hi Y'all!

Have you heard about the upcoming TPT One Day  Bonus Sale????

Well…the sale is approaching quickly!!!  All of our stores will be on sale and when you enter the discount code you can get resources much cheaper!!!
I am teaming up with some great teacher bloggers to bring you a blog hop featuring one of my best selling products.  I want to give you a closer look and a FREEBIE to try out with your class.

I wanted to give you a closer look at my Morning Work.
I try really hard to make the activities for each month appropriate
for the academic development of the average Kindergartener.
Each month begins with lots of scaffolding.
Then, as the days go on, students have had plenty of exposure to the various skills,
they are able to complete the work on their own.
Here's a closer look at my Morning Work for the month of September.

Each month includes over 20 pages of work, enough for each day of that you are teaching.
It's perfect for a sub, quick assessment, or even homework.

I also try to include a page or two about Holiday/Celebration for each month.
For September I've included a page for Labor Day.
And.
It's yours for free!!

Click on the picture to grab your freebie!

If you want an even closer look, head over to my TpT store where you can download the first three days of EVERY month of my Morning Work.

And now my Buddy Faith

is going to give you a closer look at one of her best sellers!

Meet the Teacher Linky

Hi y'all!

I was not about to blog today...
I've got a To Do list about two miles long and I am still in a little pain after my wisdom teeth removal...

BUT
When I saw Stephanie from Falling into First was hosting this awesome linky....
I knew I had to link up!

That's a horribly awesome picture of me.  I LOVE it! I guess it really should say my name, Vera and not The Tutu Teacher...but whatevs I do what I want.

Here's a little about me.

I married this sweet man just 8 months ago!  I wish we could get married again..it was so much fun.  We clearly had a great time.

We are the proud parents of one amazing fur baby.  His name is Ben and he is wonderful.
We adopted him in Austin and he is such a love bug.

This has been a FANTASTIC summer! I've been so busy and had so many adventures...
As many of you know:

Vegas

A new car

 I went back to Texas

And last week, I had my wisdom teeth removed...
That was horrible.
And there are no pictures of my ridiculous swollen mouth.

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

My family and friends.
My adorable dog.
My spinach smoothies.
Freshly painted toe nails.
Skittles.
Jack Daniels.
Purses, shoes, Alex and Ani bracelets.
Tutus.

IF YOU WEREN'T A TEACHER, WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO BE?
As I child I ALWAYS wanted to be a movie star, or pop star, or just a star.
I loved performing and singing and dancing.  I am such a ham.

I still wish I could be on Broadway...

THREE LITTLE WORDS THAT DESCRIBE YOU.

Truth.
Love.
Fun.

FINISH THE SENTENCE, "________,  SAID NO TEACHER EVER!!"

"Sweet! You want me to focus more on state standards and less on child development? Awesome,"
said no teacher ever!

Q: IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY AND YOU CAN INVITE ANYONE {DEAD OR ALIVE} TO THE PARTY. WHO ARE YOU INVITING?

OH.
It's the one and only Britney.
Or Brit Brit, which I'm sure she'd let me call her.

Q: IF SOMEONE WROTE A BOOK ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD BE THE TITLE?

How tulle can change your life.

Q:YOU GET TO PICK ONE SUPERPOWER. WHAT IS IT?
 I'd want to fly.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE QUOTE OR SAYING?

“[Kids] don't remember what you try to teach them. They remember what you are.”- Jim Henson.

Jim Henson has always been a personal hero of mine,
and this quote has always been my teaching motto.

Q: IF YOU HAD TO SING ONE SONG ON AMERICAN IDOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Well...because I've ALWAYS wanted to be a pop star...I do mini American Idol auditions in the car everyday.
I think I'd pick a Celine Dion song...she has a lot of belting out opportunities.

Q: ARE YOU A MORNING PERSON OR A NIGHT OWL?

Night Owls! Where you at? HOOHOO.
I hate mornings.

Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCE THAT YOU'VE CREATED IN YOUR TPT SHOP?

I really do live and die by my morning work.
I use it EVERY.SINGLE. DAY.
It's stress free.
It's scaffolded.
I love it.

Q: SHARE SOMETHING WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU!

Well, I have over 10 tattoos.

I'm obsessed with Melonheadz clipart because I swear to all things wonderful, Nikki has somehow found every picture of me as a child and used it as inspiration for the African American girls in her bundles.

Do you see the similarity?

I know you know I wear tutus...but did you know I make ALL my tutus?
It's only been recently that I've perfected the art of tutu making.
Here's an early tutu:

And my most recent

So much better!

Lastly, I am a HUGE goofball.
I always embarrass my husband with my sweet dance moves...in public.
Or to sneak into other peoples photos...or conversations..
I'm also not afraid to belt out to any song I hear...anywhere.

Clearly, I'm an only child.

That was too much fun!
Thanks Stephanie!
Head over to her blog and link up so we can learn a little more about you!
