I had the best weekend ever.

Deirdre over at A Burst of First, organized an awesome New England meet up at The Cheesecake Factory in Boston.  I had the pleasure of meeting some awesome ladies (and one hubby)!  We had a great time.
I can't wait to do it again!!

I spent most of today busy updating some of my work...and working on something new!

If you purchased my Valentine's Day Count the Room packet, please go back and download the latest version. I added some new clip art and made it look a little nicer.

I also worked on my Valentine's Day Vocabulary cards.

I also added it to my Vocabulary Bundle (view it here), if you've purchased that please go back for the update.

On Friday, I introduced my kiddos to one of my very favorite games, KABOOM!  It's a simple game really...place some cards with numbers, letters or words into a bag.  Students take turn pulling and reading a card from the bag.  If they can read it, they keep it.  If not, they place it back in the bag.  Students continue to take turns pulling cards.  If someone gets a card marked KABOOM!, they must put all of their cards back into the bag.  Simple! My kids LOVE IT!  I've had this game for 6+ years and the cards in the bin are getting a little raggedy.  I don't even think they are laminated.  I decided it might be a good idea to make my own! I found an old pretzel container and fancied it up a bit...

I cut out some construction paper and used spray glue and washi tape to give it that Tutu touch.

Cute right?!
Here's the finished product.

I love it!
This game is so easy and provides a quick review for the kiddos.  If you don't have a container like this, think about using an old gift bag, a brown paper bag, or even an old Pringles bin.  You could even have the kids just stack the cards face down on the table. EASY PEASY!  My packet even comes with a page to decorate your bag or bin.
Here are some pics of the product.

The packet features the KABOOM game which works on the following skill sets:  Numbers 1-10 (words, numerals, ten frames), Letters (capital and lowercase), Sight Words, and CVC words (features all medial vowel sounds).

To celebrate my funtastic weekend, I'd love to giveaway a copy! Please leave your name and email address in a comment below and I'll pick a winner tomorrow evening!

If you can't wait until then for your copy, please head over to my TpT store where it will be on sale for 50% off tonight only!! Only $2.50 for 4 games!!

I'm always apologizing for not posting...

And I'm sorry for that.

The last couple of months have been a whirlwind of emotions.

I know I've already shared some wedding pictures...but here are a couple more from our photographer.
I wish I could go back and experience the day as a guest...such a happy day.

By a few, I meant a lot.
Sorry not sorry.

As happy and wonderful and joyous as that day was...it means so much more to my husband and I after what happened on Christmas day.
We received the sad news that my sweet husband's mother passed away.

My first and last time meeting her was our wedding day.  And as sad as we are that she is no longer with us...we are so thankful that she was able to be with us on such a joyous day.  I will be forever grateful to her for raising a wonderful man.

Thank you for all the kind words and prayers.
