Write the room and more…much more!

I LOVE my Count the Room activity!
More importantly, my kids love it!  They love to get up and inventory
everything they find.  Here are a couple of pics of one of my kiddos
counting the room.

If you are interested in trying the activity out in your classroom…click here!  I also have a Halloween version that my kiddos love.  You can check that one out here.

More on the wedding.. We booked a venue!!! We will be getting married at an amazing venue in Austin.  It’s in an old church and it’s beautiful.  It is the first MAJOR step towards our happy day and I am so so so so very excited!

As many of you know I live on the East Coast…We were hit with the major storm Sandy this week. Thankfully, we had power and gas the entire time the storm passed over us.  Can you believe it?  So blessed!  It was my very first tropical storm/hurricane.  I was freaking out. The wind blew so hard the house shook!  We are safe and happy and healthy.  Here’s a pic of our street earlier this morning.

While I was locked away in my house…I spent my time working on a couple of things.
1)  Halloween Treat Bags
I made these treat bags last year for my coworkers and they loved them.  So, I thought it would be great to do it again this year for my new coworkers.  I found the idea on Pinterest, but I changed some things just a bit.  I wish we could give the kids a sweet treat…I think the kiddos would enjoy these as well.  Here are some pics.

I uploaded a copy for you if you are interested. Click the picture below to download.
I also worked on a game board packet.  It’s full of different games for kiddos to practice essential skills.  Students can work on numerical fluency, one-to-one correspondence, short vowel practice, sight word practice and much more.  Oh! I made each game in color and black and white (I hate wasting color ink!).  I even added spinners.
